REVEALED: Embark knows arc raiders fans are questioning the size of our weekly patches but they re not meant to be any bigger these updates are focused on smaller quality of life improvements | Vintage Vibes

Arc Raiders' latest patch is here, and while the list of changes isn't enormous, Embark wants to remind folks that weekly updates like this aren't meant to be huge in the first place.

Arc Raiders patch 1.21.0 adds a new Raider Tool and backpack set, in addition to fixing "a crash that would sometimes occur with DirectX 11," a problem that could see you get stuck "inside the Harvester and between destroyed ARC parts," as well as an exploit that let cheeky players "walk through walls while picking up a Fuel Cell or Field Crate."

And… that's it! For now, at least – community lead Ossen notes that "the team is hard at work" on the big March update, Flashpoint, which is set to launch next week. Embark has already teased that Shredders will finally, ahem, embark on other maps beyond Stella Montis, and we can expect a new map condition, too. But on that, the devs issue a reminder in the patch notes that it's these end-of-month updates – like Headwinds and Shrouded Sky – that are meant to be the big ones, not the weekly patches like the one today.

"We've also seen some questions about the size of our weekly patches, so to clarify: these updates are focused on smaller quality-of-life improvements and store rotations," the statement reads. "Our larger, more content-heavy updates are currently planned for the end of each month."

No doubt Embark will have seen the complaints that surface on social media like Reddit every time – without fail – a smaller update like this rolls out. Even with that new statement today, some players are asking "where is the content," and saying it's a "weak update," so whether folks take it to heart is another matter entirely.

Beyond that, though, some are annoyed that the monthly updates listed on the Arc Raiders 2026 roadmap have all been arriving right at the end of the month instead of the start of it, arguing that – with Flashpoint as an example – "you'd assume you'd be playing that new content for a majority of March not the end of it."

However, at the end of the day, folks would be waiting just as long for new content regardless of when in the month the updates were released, as the cadence has remained the same. So, it's as broad as it's long, but clearly we shouldn't expect the release windows for future content-focused updates to change anytime soon.

Arc Raiders devs tortured each other during playtests, at one point juicing Arc into unstoppable Elden Ring bosses: "All of a sudden you're playing a Souls game."
