YOU WONT BELIEVE: Multiple bomb threats at schumer s new york offices | Mind Blowing Facts

Multiple bomb threats were received at Chuck Schumer's (D-N.Y.) offices across New York on Monday, the Senate minority leader announced in a statement.

Driving the news: Schumer said his offices in Rochester, Binghamton and Long Island were targeted with bomb threats via emails with the subject line "MAGA."

  • The release said the threats came from "an email address alleging the '2020 election was rigged.'"
  • Federal and local law enforcement responded and are conducting full security sweeps, the release said. Schumer added: "Everyone is safe."

The big picture: Concerns on Capitol Hill over member safety are at a fever pitch, following a disturbing string of political attacks and assassination attempts.

  • Last month, Schumer said he asked the U.S. Capitol Police to give two Democratic senators — Sens. Mark Kelly (D-Az.) and Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) — "special protection."
  • The request came after Kelly and Slotkin clashed with President Trump over a video the pair appeared in urging service members to disobey unlawful orders.

What they're saying: "As I have said many times, these kinds of violent threats have absolutely no place in our political system," Schumer said in a statement.

  • "No one — no public servant, no staff member, no constituent, no citizen — should ever be targeted for simply doing their job."
