David Attenborough Doug Allan

Renowned wildlife cameraman Doug Allan, aged 74, has died while trekking in Nepal.
Allan was celebrated as a "true pioneer" of wildlife filmmaking, known for his work on iconic BBC series such as Planet Earth, Frozen Planet, and The Blue Planet.
He frequently collaborated with Sir David Attenborough and received multiple Bafta and Emmy awards, alongside an OBE in 2024 for his contributions to broadcast media and environmental awareness.
His management company confirmed he passed away "immersed in nature and surrounded by friends," leaving behind a visual legacy that inspired awe and respect for the planet.
Allan's career in wildlife filmmaking began after a chance meeting with Sir David Attenborough in 1981, following his work as a research diver in the Antarctic.
