You are right that you shouldn't be able to dictate what someone else does with their own body. No-one should make such choices for others. Babies cannot give their consent to being circumcised and their parents should be banned from making that choice for them. The reason male infant circumcision needs banning is that some babies suffer serious harm up to and including death from the procedure.

It's only an issue when it's done to people who cannot consent to it. Adults are generally free to choose body modifications for themselves. Not real sure about "romanticizing" it; maybe people are justifiably upset a functional part of their body was removed without their consent.

The married bride’s dad went behind the reception hall for a make out session with her maid of honor. They got busted by his 9 months pregnant niece, who had a massive blowup in front of everyone. Meanwhile half the groomsmen were in the parking lot fist fighting a bunch of guys next door.

One of my good friends from high school got married in December. The couple gave the DJ a list of accepted music. You want to know what was NOT on that list? Dogs barking Christmas carols. This guy played three songs of dogs barking Christmas carols in a row and the groom was PISSED. He asked after the 2nd one for the guy to stop. He didn't. By the third, I thought the groom was going to fight the guy. Who does that to someone's wedding? WTF? It's the most annoying thing...

My father’s step sister's wedding. I was 5, it was hot, the groom smushed cake in her face even after she told him not to, she smushed cake in his face and broke his nose. Blood everywhere, we left as the ambulance was arriving.

When I was in my 30s, at my cousin’s wedding, his wife had asked him not to smush the cake, and he didn’t, the best man who was a massive ahole, did it instead. We left. Didn’t get any cake at either wedding.

People have! There's people that basically make cubes out of trash and build with them, there are carbon neutral and negative company's, we're taking little steps to get there. We may not be there yet but there are some amazing places, and we are on our way.

I do this, not as much because of trauma, but because of my anxiety and hypervigilance. I enter a building, where's the exit. Don't like elevators, what if it gets stuck. Don't like being in a multi story building at all. What if it falls? What if I get stuck high up? So on and so forth. I'm always in fight or flight mode, to the point where I can barley enjoy life anymore. Give me something, I can find a reason to be scarred of it. Its almost easier to not think, except I have a hyperactive brain as well, so I can't not think, and this causes me to miss stuff other people say, leading to guiltiness, leading to all sorts of things. I honestly don't have very much trauma compared to some people, but have terrible mental health issues and just things that are usually signs of trauma, which only makes life harder.

When I was in 6th-ish grade, there was someone with some mental problems screaming outside my window. Had already been jumpy and hyper-vigilant before that, and this helped. This wasn't at like, 4pm or anything either. It was 2:23am, and that reinforced these traits. Of course, parents weren't very helpful, and I'm still like this to this day.

This (somehow) happened to my school drain. One day, I walked over it, (in the middle of the path. Yay!) and it was pink. pointed this out, soon everyone knew, then one day it was just- gone?
