I started to work on the new cat paintings for the cat art calendar in summer, and soon in September my husband came home with a pleasant surprise!

I received a new kitten, who became literally my right hand, as I am left handed! He was assisting everywhere he could, as you imagine, painting became even more exciting.

First, Riscas just sat on the top of my paper, and stared back at me. The moving pencils and brushes were the biggest fun ever! He tried to drink from my painting water several times, not to mention the constant danger of jumping on the wet paint. When he got tired, he was just sleeping through the painting sessions peacefully on my lap. He even convinced me, that I must include a lynx point kitten painting in the set of twelve!

Meanwhile we received also on Facebook several lovely photos from other cats as inspirations, who wanted to be the part of the calendar.

With his and their help took almost 6 months, but we succeeded! All 12 paintings are completed for my new cat art calendar, and they became the part of my Cats of Karavella Collection. Tuxedo cat, black cat, Siamese, blue cats, ginger tabbies, a lynx point Siamese, and white cat paintings.

I thought to share with you some work in progress images, and our fun together. I hope you will like them.

As I embarked on my journey to create the new cat art calendar, one crucial lesson I learned was the joy and companionship that animals bring into our lives. This sentiment is echoed in stories of pet owners who choose to take their feline friends along on vacations.

Integrating these companions into your everyday adventures, as showcased in this experience of traveling with cats, adds a whole new layer of joy to artistic pursuits.
