SCOTTISH tennis legend Sir Andy Murray has donated a signed version of one of his distinctive black match shirts to a fundraiser in his home town of Dunblane.
Murray has shown his support to the 25th Stirling (Dunblane) Boys' Brigade Company, a Christian organisation that hosts weekly activities for boys and young men aged 5-18, to achieve sports, music, and personal growth.
The organisers posted the shirt on CrowdFunder and are hoping to raise money to support their fundraising efforts for BB Malawi 2025, a project that sees the boys visit and support the community of Likhubula in Malawi, a town in which they have longstanding partnership with.
The winner of the shirt signed by Murray, who has been a Unicef UK Ambassador since 2014, will be selected from a prize draw with people able to donate £5 for a single entry, £10 for three entries, £25 for eight entries and £50 for 20 entries.
The total money raised currently stands at £800, with the group setting a target of £5000. The project will receive all pledges made to the prize draw by 30 November 2024 at 12.00pm.
One user in the CrowdFunder auction comments said: "Good luck with the fundraising. Sir Andy is a top man!"
