Two men have been arrested and police have seized cash, vials of steroids, and a substance suspected to be cocaine from a property in Reid following an investigation into drug trafficking.
Earlier this year, investigators from ACT Policing's Major Crime Team collected evidence relating to the alleged distribution of illicit drugs in the ACT, police said.
On Thursday, a 44-year-old man from O'Connor was charged with drug trafficking and other offences after police executed a search warrant at his O'Connor residence.
On Friday, officers attended a home in Reid to execute another search warrant.
During the search, officers located and seized several items including about 600 grams of white powder suspected to be cocaine, numerous vials of steroids, scales, cash, small clip-seal bags including one with white powder in it and three mobile phones.
A subsequent examination of the mobile phones allegedly revealed evidence consistent with drug trafficking activity, police said.
The 38-year-old man, who was a resident at the Reid property, was arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled drug other than cannabis, trafficking in a trafficable quantity of cannabis and money laundering.
He is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
