I had a passenger when I worked for tsa have a grand mal seizure. I helped lower him to the ground to be sure he didnt hurt himself iwas the only one who knew what to do. Later my bosses reprimanded me for doing anything because the man was twice my size they said I could've gotten hurt. I said I knew what I was doing. Having been an hha/cna and having a very large aunt (not I overweight she was big boned and tall) who had seizure. Had i not kept him from falling he would have busted his head wide open on the cement floor. And no I did not get hurt because I knew what I was doing.

I married a man similar to this. Before marriage he was the perfect guy. But afterwards critized everything I did. Made me feel bad about myself. Became misery with money (mind you it was my money because he quit working to go back to school he already had a a degree that paid good money). Gaslughted me before that was even a word. With held affection for no reason. Holidays and birthdays and valentines. Refused to go to holidays at my parents, gotten taken to dinner at Dennys for a my free birthday dinner. And valentine's forget it. And it just got worse. Please from someone who went through 4 5 yrs of the same kinda of thing get out. Get out now. Run. This will only escalate. Seems he doesn't want to really be married if he told you to leave the ring in the drawer that night. A good husband would have worked it out. He would have cared about your feelings and why you were crying. You didnt disrespect him. He's gaslighting you. This kind of man only escalate. He will get physical.

Had my neighbor take me to the er one night. I was having a heart attack. It was a rare heart attack due to stress. When I called my parents the next morning (mom answered) and explained i was in the hospital due to a heart attack. Her reaction was to treat it like it was a inconvenience because she was going have to tell my dad. Not are you OK or what happened. No she said " well now im going to have to tell your father". No my parents arent divorced they were married. She acted like I did it on purpose. My heart attack being a stress related heart attack guess who was the main cause of it. BTW no heart disease in my family I wasnt overweight. But my BP that was 200 and something over 100 and something. Have no idea how I didnt have a stroke on top of the heart attack.

Was sitting at a table dropped my pen bent to pick it up slammed my face into the top of the chair next to me. Still dont know how I managed not to get a black eye because I hit right between my eyes (I wear glasses so that might have helped. And then yesterday I was sitting on my bed with my legs stretched out go to stand up and somehow pulled my Achilles tendon. Couldn't put my foot down flat. Could only walk on my hippie toes on that foot.

Precisely! I use asthma medication so I'm not hacking my brains out for hours at a time. I take medicine for rheumatoid arthritis so I don't turn into the Tin Man after a good spring rain. I take high blood pressure medicine to keep my hypertension in check. I dare ANYONE to tell me I can't have my medications with me, especially my inhaler. Shìt would get real in a nanosecond.

If MIL is diagnosed bipolar, advise your lawyer that she must have a full psych eval before she comes anywhere near OP and her family. Is there a restraint order for protection against a mentally ill person? Play up the bipolar condition, especially of MIL isn’t on meds or isn’t taking them, plus is not regularly attending therapy sessions. Sow that seed of doubt in a judge’s mind about MIL’s stability. (Now I am not advocating using a person’s health issues, mental or physical, against them, but in this case, you have no idea what a bipolar person can come up with. I know this, as my own father was bipolar, never sought treatment, and made my childhood, and those of my brothers, incredibly unstable).

Who the heck are the YTA's, he didnt call her out to embarass her, he though he was literally saving her from hospitalization. I have a close friend and mentor who has Celiac's, even a tiny amount of gluten can hospitalize him. Its a serious condition. Its why he wont eat out, and at catered events usually sticks to the fruits and veg (unless he knows there is an option otherwise). This is really serious.
