Woman Believes People Should Pick Dogs Accordingly To Their Lifestyle, Stirs Up A Debate

We have a collie/Welsh Sheep Dog cross that was opened up for bet ownership after showing she "wouldn't make a good sheepdog." We think this was because as a puppy she was a proper princess. We couldn't get her to even step outside in the rain until we bought her a bloody raincoat and even then she looks disdainful of the entire situation. I've always had working dogs, I've never had to buy dog clothing before, so that was an experience. Sometime since then the sheepdog Gods graced her with certain sheepdog behaviours I thought were primarily taught. And she was not taught or out with the working dogs on the farm as she hated mud. (I kind of miss that trait...) Our area had plenty of green spaces that have swiftly vanished but this has a slight good side, all the local dog walkers go to 1 area. She doesn't herd sheep, she herds other people's dogs. She trots around in circles, drops into that shuffle, if someone's dog Wanders to far she will fetch them. People love her 😅

As someone said - you can have it. But the cook will hate you, whether he tells you beforehand or not. Since you won't meet him personally, I'd say just order the steak as you want it and let the cook steam in anger. (I like mine medium, but either way I wouldn't care about what the cook things about me.)

You can have it how you like, but understand, that when a chef/steakhouse that has a $70 cut of meat, that they spend time aging and seasoning it, and they know that by cooking it well done, you are basically ruining that piece of meat and a whole flavor profile, and throwing off the kitchen because it takes so long to cook, it is really annoying. If you really want a well done steak, get a cheap cut at a cheap restaurant, because it will taste the same as the $70 steak well done.

This. I remember managing a few stores in my early/mid 20s. I never once asked people to do more than what their availability stated. If I needed more people, I'd hire more, or, wild thought here, I WORKED IT. As a jewelry store manager, I worked 6 days a week, usually open to close. December I didnt have a day off. When I left, I had to hire a whole new core staff, all but 1 person quit. Owners of that company used me bad. So, any manager out there acting like their employees are their personal servants need to fùcking step up and do better.

People Are Jokingly Tweeting Things They Love About Boomers And Here Are 40 Of The Most Amusing Posts

Once again a whole section of comments that deliberately missed the point. The original wasn't saying people should like targeted advertising, but if you don't want your privacy invaded be proactive and get an ad blocker or a browser with better security and privacy or a vpn or really anything that actually addresses the problem other than just being angry it's not 1990. At least you can, mostly, block targeted ads, unlike untargeted ads. Complaining to someone who has told you how to fix the problem several times, and engaging in activities that actively make the problem worse, again despite lots of opportunities to do otherwise, will absolutely make the person you complain to justifiably irritated. Also, targeted ads are 15 years old now, please don't act as if it's some new scheme the internet just pushed on you, and don't act like the rest of us like targeted ads just because we aren't actively complaining.

I'm just vividly reminded of the time our office banned post-it notes because so many people had their passwords on them or confidential info. Then like the day after, 70% of the office were a mixture of unable to get into their computed or thrown because post-it notes were how they kept updating files. I took the matter half by showing so many people over and over that windows 7 has post-it notes, and the poor it guy took the other half. They also thought it was a cracking idea to update an office that, bar 1 team, had a median age of 50 to Win7 overnight without warning... Sensible people are not in control of these ideas.

I generally assume they'd just drive off. That happens surprisingly often even if I message the driver that I am in a wheelchair. (That is lightweight and collapses, it is suitcase sized, I've not met an Uber it didn't fit in.) They see the chair and drop me, I assumed they do this with drunk people too.

Not if you do proper "confined masonry", by having reinforced concrete columns and girders keeping the bricks in place. And if you have metal storm shutters as well, your windows won't break either and you just weather the storm without damage. Yes, it's more expensive than building a wooden framed house, but it's gotta be cheaper than rebuilding your house and replacing all your belongings, surely...

"They fall down in earthquakes"...? Japan should know what works for earthquakes and they mostly use bricks and such AFAIK. Are you thinking of the mythbusters series that "proved" this? They used extremely simple, unprofessional masonry for their tests which is not really comparable to how most (modern) brick houses are built.

In some more civilized places there are laws to protect tenants against unsafe living conditions. Landlords are required to ensure their dwellings can maintain minimum temperatures so people don’t freeze to death! America, I love you but you are not even close to the best country in the world.

The whole thing is that this person doesn't have a "document camera" or a 2nd camera to show the work being done. He isn't sharing his screen with anyone, he is just sharing his work in real time.

It seems you have never lived in a brick house built with concrete or so. They withstand hurricanes. I live in a coastal area to the pacific ocean and I can confirm. Storms can blow off the roof, but not the entire house. And if your roof is also brick and concrete, you are safe and sound.

These people do realise that saying you have a disability isn't a magical pass-phrase that gets you into Narnia, right? Because I struggle some days finding ramps, and people get angry at me for requiring them. If you are medically incapable of wearing a mask, a shop or business can still deny you entry. They just have to make reasonable adjustments. So they can require you to stand outside, tell them what you want to buy, refuse you entry, collect your things and serve you on the pavement.
