I feel the same about my sister and my best friend. My much loved sister died just over 18 months ago and my best friend just 12 months ago. I think about them both and miss them every single day. I lost my 2 best friends.

My daughter, shellfish, had been eating it without issues for years and then after one day out her lips started swelling up and her face became red and blotchy - emergency trip required and it was discovered that whatever she had eaten must have contained shell fragments. She now avoids any shellfish at all costs. Once was enough.

Or any vehicle on the road, witnessed a guy trying to run across a road while waiting at traffic lights and he was hit by a motorcycle doing 60km an hour and was flipped into the air, motorcycle came down as well and rider slid down the road for at least 10 metres. It was awful. Rider was ok but pedestrian not. Nothing is that urgent to lose your life over.

Love horses and rode them for years when younger but fell off one when it reared suddenly when frightened by something and ended up with severely bruised ribs and concussion when I hit the ground hard and without a helmet. These were the days when riding helmets were just for show days.

My cousin passed away some years back. He was blind and had a ton of friends, many also blind. When we sung the hymns the guide dogs present howled / bayed along, it was so beautiful. At the wake I also saw a guide dog veeeery carefully eat a sausage roll off the table right in front of his blind owner. I laughed and the dog whipped his head around to look at me, like ‘oh s**t you can see me?’.

I work with a specific coworker who's got a million things wrong with her and she's in pain all the time but she works so so hard to get everything done and it's just... It's not enough. If the manager knew just how little she got done most days she'd fire her. So I give her a smaller list than I give my other cashier's, and when she leaves at the end of the night I stay an extra 2 sometimes 3 hours and finish what she can't. I've been doing this for nearly a year now, and as she's retiring in 4 months I will continue to do so until she leaves. I will never ever tell her.

Never did actually settle on something but one day in my garden when I was just thinking about her and missing her a dragonfly appeared and settled right in front of me. First time I had seen one ever in my garden. Every now and then when it seems I am at my lowest missing her one appears. It comforts me.
