Melbourne has one of the best coffee cultures in the world. It also has a lot of multiculturalism so you can find food from pretty much anywhere in the world. There is some great architecture and attractions. For example the Skydeck, were you can stand on a glass bottomed platform far above the city. Also there are great botanic gardens and many other parklands, right in the city centre. You can get pretty much any weather you want, often all in one day!
