    Fire. Specifically being burned.

    My great-grandfather was burned to death by his nurse... and I have memories of her murder trial, and the last time I saw him alive before she did that to him... so yeah.

    Not succeeding. My parents always pressured me a lot, it made me super fearful of not graduating college, not getting a job, not becoming rich. I've been trying to teach myself that I can still be happy even if I don't "succeed" conventionally, but the fear remains stuck in my head.

    My biggest fear used to be servicing liquid oxygen into jet aircraft while wearing asbestos gloves. It boils at -497 degrees. If you throw a cricket in the overfill pan the cricket will freeze solid. If you step on one drop of it, it will blow the sole of your boot off.
