I can tell you what time of day it is to the minute without a watch or other time device. I can stop a charging angry dog in its tracks with one gesture and two words. I had to demonstrate this in a court room as a witness in a dog park assault.

Being able to sense when someone shouldn't be trusted. I met my mom's boyfriend at a restaurant. He smiled, was charming and sweet, but there was a bad vibe I got from him. Found out a few months later that he was beating the crap out of my mother on the regular. Met a co-worker's husband. Also nice and sweet, but bad vibe. Found out after a few weeks that he was cheating on his wife. Met my husbands philosophy professor. Very professional person. Seemed straight forward but, again, bad vibe. A year later, he was arrested for stealing social security numbers of his students to get credit cards. Just wish I'd had that sense in the early days when it came to my own relationships. But at least I had enough sense to recognize a good man when I finally met him. Been married to him for 31 years.

I can fix almost anything. I've been able to take things apart, fix them and put them back together since I was a kid. And I can look at something, like a mechanism of some sort, and know how it works. It's rare that I don't just automatically KNOW how it works and if I don't it haunts me until I go online, identify it and learn its inner workings. Not a bad talent to have for a mechanic. I'm sure that's why I excelled at it for so many years, loving every second of it.

I can tell time in my sleep, and I haven't used an alarm in the morning since I was in college. I think its a process of regularly checking the clock in the middle of the night, but being half asleep and not remembering it. Coincidentally, I can't fall asleep and stay asleep if a clock isn't visible from the bed.
